One in Four Beef Farms Have Left! - The number of farms was down 10.3% in 2011 from 2006 at 205,730 farms. Farm numbers were down in every province with the largest declines seen in Manitoba (-17%), Saskatchewan (-16.6%), Alberta (-12.5%) and PEI (-12%).
