US Inventories Shrink With Drought - USDA released the January 1st inventory report last Friday showing total cattle inventories down 2% at 90.8 million head. This is the lowest total inventory since 1952 when it was 88.1 million head. Beef cow inventories were down 3% at 29.9 million head. This is slightly below the pre-report estimate of -2.6% ...
